The ongoing fusion of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT), as well as the rise of Industry 4.0 ecosystems, these are opening up a wide range of opportunities and advantages.

All of the physical and virtual resources, systems, and networks that are necessary for a society's economics, security, or any combination of the above to run smoothly are referred to as critical infrastructure. India has designated seven significant industries as critical infrastructure:

b) Power and energy
c) BFSI
d) Transportation
e) Strategic entities
f) Government enterprises
g) Healthcare

There has been a significant increase in cyber-attacks that’s why the government has been moving with alacrity to protect their critical information infrastructure. These breaches have the potential to create wide-scale compromise in vital systems having wide impact.
